Following on the heels of the success of the jazz band’s November fundraiser, all of the middle and high school bands gathered in the middle school gymnasium on March 28 for a concert to raise additional funds.

Admission was free, but band members sold t-shirts and refreshments to audience members. Not only did all those that attended enjoy a great evening of music, but they also were given an opportunity to support the arts at PMHS

“I think the atmosphere and vibes inside the gym were very good. I definitely think we raised a lot of money. We all brought our spirit with us, and that was the important part,” junior Elias Salmeron said.

The jazz band had a chance to take that spirit on the road with them when they traveled to New Orleans, where they performed on the campus of Loyola University and had the chance to experience the city where jazz was born.
