James Ferreri, Adviser
Mr. Ferreri is the Pel Mel Club Advisor and teacher of the Print Journalism class. He also currently teaches two Criminal Justice courses and Military History. Mr. Ferreri is in his 18th year of teaching at Pelham where he has also taught AP World History, AP Government & Politics, AP US History, Global History, US History Regents, and Spotlight on History. His is also advisor to the Military History and the Young Republicans Clubs. His teaching career began in 2003 on Long Island.
A former National Park Guide and practicing attorney, Mr. Ferreri is a graduate of Thomas M. Cooley Law School, in Michigan, a member of the NY State Bar and received his undergraduate B.A. in History and teaching certification at SUNY Stony Brook. He grew up in Queens and Suffolk County, Long Island. His interests include history, movies, government, politics, national parks, traveling, coaching softball and watching baseball. He has been a loyal Yankees fan since 1978. Favorite movies are The Right Stuff, Goodfellas, Full Metal Jacket, The Godfather, It’s a Wonderful Life, and Animal House
