Coming off a successful cross country season this fall, junior Grace Miske competed at some big events this season. Miske has placed the best out of all the female Pelham runners in every meet this fall season. She placed 7th at the Big Red Invitational, 14th at the Bobcat Run, and is ranked 43rd in the county. Then, to finish her season triumphantly, she finished 6th at the section championships.

“Grace was a model runner for us this year.  She worked very hard in the off-season and motivated other girls to do well this year,” said Mr. Green, the assistant coach of the varsity cross country team, “We are looking forward to her senior year where we hope she can do really well and put Pelham cross country on the map.”

Some of her most impressive personal records include 2:44.10 in the 800m, 5:16.73 in the 1500m, and 20:29.10 in the 5k.  These results are evidence of the hard work she puts in on and off the track.

Growing up a runner, Miske has enhanced her natural talents. She continues to train hard, even when she is not racing.  She is almost always running, whether it is on the streets of Pelham to keep in shape or representing PMHS at big events.
