Last year the girls varsity track team won their first league title in 22 years. With several key players returning this season, the team aims to repeat this feat.

Junior Isabelle Anderson said, “Since we’re the same team that won last year, it feels like there’s a precedent for us to win again.”

The boys team will try to use the girls’ league title as motivation for success this season.

“Seeing the girls team win, only makes us want it that much more,” senior Gabe Sucena said.

Their first meet will be the Big Chill Relay on December 1 at Yorktown High School.
