Picture House Hosts “Picnic in The Park” Fundraiser
September 16, 2019
Residents of Pelham gathered at the Picture House on September 14 for the Pelham Picture House’s Picnic in the Park. This event is an annual end of summer fundraiser hosted by the Picture House and consisted of a movie, followed by dinner and dancing under the stars.
Clayton Bushong, Director of Programming, Marketing, and Operations at the Picture House, said, “Picnic in the Park is very important to us, as it marks the start of a new season at The Picture House and showcases what we have to offer in the upcoming year.”
A silent auction and raffle also took place where individuals could bid on items, such as two JetBlue plane tickets to anywhere in the world, or tickets to see Broadway’s Hadestown or Moulin Rouge.
Laura DeBuys, executive director and president of The Picture House said, “Year after year we look forward to this hallmark return-from-summer event that so many from Pelham and the surrounding communities look forward to. Picnic closes out the summer and ushers in the start of the school year—and a new season of movies and events at The Picture House.”
