The girls basketball team is almost finished with their season so far, holding a record of 10-9, and preparing for playoffs. Their biggest accomplishment throughout their season was their game against Walter Panas because they had previously lost to them in the playoffs last season, but redeemed themselves by beating them for a first win of the season. With the addition of assistant coach Mr. Finegan and returning head coach Mr. Pitrulle, they’ve improved greatly and hope to see themselves traveling to a higher seed in the playoffs.

“The team is so small but the bond we have developed is part of the reason why we play so well together, we think that if we play our best we can take on anyone,” junior Nell Plunkett said.

The girls hosted Eastchester on their senior night and defeated them 50-39 capping off a night that honored their three seniors. It was their second win against Eastchester this season, who is a league opponent.
