As the fall season begins, Lower Hudson Valley News has already begun their super 7 lists where they rank the county’s best athletes and PMHS senior Natalia Cherner has been selected for her performance in Girls Volleyball.

Captain of the Girls Varsity Volleyball team, Cherner has high hopes for this season.

“I’m super excited to be on the watch list for the volleyball super 7. Playing a different position this year has been challenging especially for my senior season. However, our team has been working so hard during the offseason and we’re excited to see where it takes us,” Cherner said.

As two-time league champions, the team’s goal is to win leagues again though it may be a challenge since they are a young team.

Cherner said, “We have a lot of  juniors and we hope to win as many games as possible to show our appreciation towards our coaches  Mr. Finnegan and especially Ms. Albin, as she has coached the seniors since we were freshmen.”

Their opening season game is against league rivals Eastchester on March 18. Their home games are watchable via livestream which will be posted via the team. The link to the livestream can be found here: https://www.pelhamschools.org/district/athletics
