The winter sports season has begun and, being a school that has always had success in hockey. This year is no exception as the Pelicans started off the year with a record of 3-0.

Pelham is hopeful for another section title. It has been 4 years since the last time Pelham won, and they look to return to that level of dominance. It appears that this year’s team will be the first to bring the glory of a section title to Pelham after their long drought. The team will have fans in the stands for the first time since the 2019-2020 season. This will for sure help the team, as hearing the town cheering them on each game is always one of the best parts of the high school experience.

Junior Louie Marcellino said, “It would be great if we could go to States again to make our town and classmates proud.”

Years before, when Pelham had won the section and went to States, the town rallied around their magical run to the State Championship with watch parties of the games held at local restaurants like Rockwells.

Junior Luke Green said, “We’ve been working hard and can’t wait to show off how much improvement we have made”.
