Founder of mass-media company, Barstool Sports, and famous “One Bite” pizza reviewer, Dave Portnoy, came to Pelham to visit town-favorite, Pelham Pizza in early December. This series has gained notoriety among youth, and those who follow Portnoy’s Barstool Sports content. On his video series, “One Bite Pizza Reviews”, Portnoy tried out Pelham Pizza’s cheese pizza, giving it a rating of 7.8 out of 10, and giving it his seal of approval. His visit to Pelham Pizza came in the midst of other local pizza shop reviews on his series, as Portnoy did a “Yonkers Pizza Tour”. Portnoy reviewed many Westchester pizzas throughout this series, but gave Pelham Pizza a shoutout for its authenticity, noting specifically its “godfather era Italian soccer posters on the wall”. 

Portnoy travels the country for pizza and for content for this “one-bite” series. Portnoy gave Westchester pizza places his approval, and gave a special shoutout to Johnny’s Pizza in neighboring Mount Vernon. Students and town members were excited to see Pelham Pizza on the Barstool Sports Instagram, which has 12.4 million followers. There is no doubt that the people of Pelham were excited about Portnoy’s visit to Pelham, and his stamp of approval for town favorite, Pelham Pizza.
