Anyone But You is a new rom-com about a woman and man who go through fake dating, dating, being enemies, and being friends. The movie features Sydney Sweeney who plays Bea, and her love, Ben, is played by Glen Powell. The movie was released on December 22, 2023, both in theaters and on Amazon Prime

The movie starts with Bea going to a coffee shop in hopes to use the bathroom, but the cashier says that she can only use the bathroom if she buys something from the shop, but when Bea sees that the line is insanely long, she loses hope. This is where Ben, who is next in line, pretends to be her husband and buys her an espresso so she can use the bathroom.

The two end up spending the rest of the day together. Bea spends the night at Ben’s apartment and leaves before Ben wakes up, as she is excited to tell her sister, Halle. When she calls Halle, Halle asks her why she left so abruptly, and Bea agreed so she tried to go back to Ben’s apartment. Upset that Bea left early, Ben angrily rants to his roommate, Pete, saying horrible things about Bea, not realizing that Bea overheard that because she was standing in the doorway. Bea runs off and the two go months without talking. It wasn’t until they were at a bar together that they reconnected because Bea’s sister was marrying Ben’s roommate’s sister, Claudia. Claudia and Halle were having a small destination wedding in Australia, so Bea and Ben were forced to be in close proximity in a house where all of the wedding guests were staying. When Ben is reunited with his during the wedding, with everyone being tired of Ben and Bea constantly fighting, they get into all sorts of situations that they have to overcome together. Throughout the movie, people are constantly wondering how their relationship will end up.

This is a great movie that creates a lot of laughs and viewers of the movie become attached to the characters in hopes that everything works out well for them. I would recommend this movie to anyone who is looking for a feel good rom-com.
