Pelham Football started their season 2-0 after a memorable Week 0 win at Memorial Field against Dobbs Ferry, and a dominating home opener upset win versus Byram Hills.
There was much excitement for Pelican football going into the Class B Game of the Week versus Bronxville. Pelican Football could not spoil Bronxville’s homecoming and lost 34-7. Then, the following week on our own Homecoming, Pelican Football had a disappointing loss versus Nanuet 28-7 and then lost the next two weeks to Pleasantville and Pearl River. Pelican Football had to play with top players on the injured reserve such as Owen Duffy.
One of the breakout players this year has been James Romano who has had 13 receptions 447 yards and five touchdowns and three interceptions at the wide receiver and cornerback positions through Week 1-6. Some other notable players putting up stats on both offense and defense have been Matthew Hirsch, Conor Bryan, Christian King, and Conor Bryan.
