The Pelham Varsity Girls tennis team, led by senior captains Plum Durham, Zoe Pursel and Grace Kiamie, are having an impressive season, demonstrated by their league championship win. Boasting an impressive 9-3 record, the league championship was clinched on October 11, defeating Eastchester, adding the finishing touches to a remarkable regular season.
Junior Frankie Ring highlighted one outlying factor: “The tangible, family-like energy created amongst the team, is a major part of the success we have experienced.” With the chemistry between this group being a major factor in the identity of the team, one would doubt the success endured would have occurred without the camaraderie created throughout the season.
