Are any Pelicans interested in making a difference in another child’s life? Juniors Ellianna Bryan, Grayce Cooper, and Juliana Cortale have created an easy way for students to do so, with their creation of the Operation Smile Club.

Operation Smile, the organization that this club is connected to, provides underprivileged children in foreign countries with cleft lips the resources to get palate surgery which they cannot afford. PMHS’ Operation Smile Club will work to raise money to further this charity’s mission.

The club already has an astounding forty-five members, and its membership count is quickly rising! The club meets every other Wednesday in room 211, and is advised by Ms. Quintano.

“We’re able to make a difference in other’s lives by coming together and fundraising to make a real change and help children smile,” said Bryan, co-president of the club.

They started the club because they were inspired by the services Operation Smile provides and wanted to contribute to the differences made in these children’s lives.
