The field hockey team had one of their most successful seasons in school history. They finished the season with five wins and one loss in their league, with an overall record of fifteen wins and three losses. They only lost to longtime rivals Rye and John Jay. However, they beat Rye two more times after their loss. A lot of credit for the incredible season can be given to senior Lindsay McNamara.

Lindsay is the team’s goalie, boasting a record of 13 total shutouts over the course of the season, including a winning streak of six straight shutouts. She had 55 total saves while only conceding six goals this season.

Along with her impressive statistics on the field, Lindsay was a great role model and teammate. Assistant Coach Ms. Clapp witnessed her growth as a player.

“She was always helpful and very knowledgeable,” Clapp said. “She was a pleasure to coach. I had her for five years and she grew into her position and learned to know the field.”

Junior midfielder Morgan Orlando called Lindsay “a great teammate who’s really helpful. She’s a great leader on and off the field.”
