The boys hockey team has a 6-8 record to date this season after skating to a 4-1 win over Carmel. The team is captained by seniors Liam Ronan, Christian Morfit, and Andrew Shulzhenko. Pelham hosted the Fabulous 21 Tournament over two weekends in December, featuring teams from all over New York. Unfortunately, Pelham dropped both games to upstate powerhouses. However, they were able to pull off impressive wins over John Jay-Cross River and Pearl River.

“We haven’t had the start we’d hoped for since we’re facing a lot of tough opponents with a young inexperienced group, but I think the challenges we’re seeing now are setting us up for success down the road,” Shulzhenko said.

Pelham will look to use their tough upstate contests to help them in the upcoming playoffs.
