Sporting a 8-6 record, the girls basketball team has been playing well, if a bit inconsistently. The team, led by senior captains Samantha Volpe, Meredith Kuster, and Lauren Kuster, won the Pelham Holiday Tournament and were the runners-up in the Brewster Tournament. In the opening round of the Brewster Tournament, they beat John Jay-East Fishkill in the semifinals before falling to Brewster in the championship.

“We aren’t where we wanted to be at this point in the season, we’ve had our ups and downs. We know we are such a talented and connected team. We just need to execute,” Volpe said. “Once we put the little pieces together, we will be seeing more positive results.” Pelham was able to put these pieces together in key wins over Eastchester and Hendrick Hudson.

After recent success, the girls will look to make a deep run in the sectional playoffs.
