On January 23, senior Jorge Chit-Sanchez announced his commitment to Hudson Valley Community College for football. Chit-Sanchez decided to become a Viking because this will allow him to both pursue academics and play the sport that he loves. Chit-Sanchez has played football for most of his life and has been on varsity since the end of his sophomore season. He has played fullback and defensive end throughout his high school career, and he was a key factor in the team’s very successful 6-2 record in their return to Section 1 this past fall.

“I’ve loved the sport ever since I first started playing,” Chit-Sanchez said. “Getting injured in our second to last game against Peekskill made me realize how much I love playing and that I wouldn’t get any more chances to step on the field if I didn’t play in college. That made the decision to continue my career an easy one.”
