The Pelham boys varsity tennis team is looking towards success this season. After the graduation of many seniors last year, the team is getting a fresh look with 10 new players. The team captains are juniors Lucas Fredbeck and Cole Mackool, and they are coached by Olympia Kochlanes.

“This season we are pretty young, but that’s not going to stop us from causing a storm in section one,” Fredbeck said. “We are a very close team, which is key for our success.”
Losing their first match against Scarsdale, the team is working hard for better results.

“I’m confident that this team will prevail and have a good season, we just have to work hard in practice and play hard in the games,” junior Ryan Chang said. “Since we are young we have a lot of hard workers willing to put in the time to get better.”
