The girls golf season is in full swing with a win in their first match on April 3 against Edgemont. This is the girls varsity golf team’s second season, and it is led by junior Catherine Taubner and senior Sara Veteri, the team captains. Taubner, who shot a 52, helped the Pelicans defeat the Panthers by a score of 321-302.

“All the players on the team contribute to the team in one way or another. Everyone is very encouraging of one another and I think that this will help everyone play their best throughout the season,” Taubner said.

Mr. Pitrulle has joined the team this year as coach for the first time. Pitrulle has been playing for over 30 years, and adds great experience to help the team.

The team aims to play strategically throughout the rest of the season and learn more about golf while having fun. So far the team holds a record of 3-0.
