On February 10, senior athlete Harry Ravitz announced his commitment to play basketball at Elmira College in New York. Ravitz, a captain of the boys varsity basketball team, began his journey toward college sports in second grade when he played for Our Lady of Perpetual Help in the Catholic Youth Organization.

Even at an early age, Ravitz’ skill on the court was noticed by many, and he moved up to the varsity basketball team in his sophomore year. This past season Ravitz averaged 17.5 points per game. More importantly, he has proven himself to be a leader on and off the court

“I’ve been playing basketball for more than half my life and can’t see myself without it, which made me want to continue playing in college,” Ravitz said. “I decided to go to Elmira because it gave me a really good home feel and had a good community around the team.”
