Following a pre-season where they met twice a week to work on fielding, hitting, and pitching, the varsity boys baseball team is aiming for a successful season. Once the season started, morning sessions were dedicated to running and after school practices focused on baseball fundamentals. These workouts are expected to help shape a new core group of players.

Captained by seniors Kevin Coleman and Will Stein and junior Nick Senerchia, the team currently sits at 3-2, with wins over Peekskill, Walter Panas, and Roosevelt. Against Peekskill, Coleman hit his 101st hit, which broke the PMHS all time hits record.

Coleman said, “I have a good feeling about the team this year. We have a lot of young talent and I believe we have the ability to win the section. We just have to put all of the pieces together at the right time to be able to win the big games.”
