Jetting to Dallas, TX, where over 5,000 of the nation’s best high school orators gathered to demonstrate their skills in storytelling, drama, public speaking and debate, three of Pelham’s best — sophomores Isaac Blackburn and. Rebecca Jacobson, and junior Nick Lieggi — competed at the National Speech and Debate Association’s Championship the week of June 17.  Blackburn advanced to the semifinal round in the category of Congressional Debate, where he was recognized as one of the top seventy-two high school speakers in the nation.
