School President Henry Driesen reflects on his year leading the SA.

T he most important message from working in student government is that the students are able to make change at the school. As the representatives and advocates of the student body, we have the platform to voice our concerns and enact things we would like to see done. A large part of my presidency this year was to encourage more students to run for a position in SA, because I strongly believe it’s important for more student voices to be heard. To all pelicans: allow yourself to take risks and try new things. You won’t know if you’re interested in something until you really try it. Getting involved in school is one of the best ways to make the most of your time here, and this is the perfect place to find things you’re into. The extracurriculars and classes offered here have really helped me to become the person I am now. My interests in politics and history were able to flourish in my time here, and I will be forever grateful.
