The boys varsity football team has finished their regular season with a 2-4 record and have advanced to the playoffs. In the first round they played against Brewster, but suffered a loss. The team had a big league overtime win against Harrison, where the Pelicans won 14-7 to open the season. The captains of the team are seniors Joel Hawthorne, Mark McNenney, James Nespole, Nick Senerchia, and junior Carlo Volpe.

Volpe said, “The football team has played well this season and we have a great opportunity ahead of us as we are in the section 1 playoffs for the first time since 2010.”
