On December 4, the Rho Kappa Social Studies Honor Society held its 6th annual History Bowl. Sixteen teams competed after school in a very competitive tournament where only one team could leave as champions. After three hours of games, The Pelhamponesian League emerged as the victors against the Prehistoric Predators in the final round. The victorious team consisted of juniors Isaac Blackburn, Soren Bushong, Jack D’Angelo, Caleb Persanis, Tommy Roche, amd Andrew Terraciano.

Isaac Blackburn said, “The history bowl is one of my favorite PMHS events. Great competition and a close final round culminated in a good victory for our team. In past years we faced difficult teams that deserved to win but this year it was our turn.”

Teams were asked multiple questions from all branches of history and went through multiple rounds of competition.

Tommy Roche said, “The History Bowl was fantastic. I’m really glad that Mr. Sirico and Nick Lieggi took the time to run it this year. Competing was a very great experience that really bonded our team together.”
