This year, a new club was formed, one that focuses on two perennial favorites of teenagers: coffee and board games.  The formation of the Coffee Shop Club encourages students to rediscover a love for classic board games, online games, and the idea of getting together to play. And whether you are a skilled gamer or someone who hasn’t got a CLUE, the group is kicking things off with an event sure to get your blood tingling: a virtual murder mystery to be held on the eve of Halloween!

Students interested in participating can sign up for the murder mystery events though this link:

The group began this school year and had its first meeting on Monday, October 26. The club meets on Mondays and looks forward to events such as the virtual murder mystery party on October 30.

Because of COVID, the club, like many others, has had to adapt their meetings and usual activities. While the club wishes they could host their board games and coffee drinking sessions in person, they still look forward to their virtual meetings.

A leader of the club, junior Jordan Schwarz, said, “I think that playing board games is a great way to make friends and allows for a relaxing environment which I think all high schoolers could benefit from.”

The club meets every Monday at 3:15 and occasionally on other days for special events. Students can access the Google Classroom through the code: r7k3bho, and can
