Joe Crispino took over the role of Safety Coordinator at Pelham Memorial High School as of February 1. After his predecessor, Ralph DeMasi, retired after serving the District for 14 years, the district chose to outsource the position from Altaris Security and Consulting, a BOCES cooperative service provider, for whom Crispino is directly employed

“I am excited to work with the high school and all of the schools in the district. The Pelham Public Schools administration, staff, and students have been welcoming and supportive, and I am enthusiastic about starting this new career path. I look forward to developing new and lasting relationships in all of the schools and in the community,” Crispino said.

Crispino retired from the New York State Police after serving for 25 years earlier this year. He was then hired by Altaris Consulting Group as a Safety, Security, and Emergency Planning Coordinator. Crispino is married with two children and resides in Dutchess County, New York.

Crispino joins us as Safety Coordinator during an unprecedented and less-than-ideal time.

“The pandemic has put a strain on many aspects of our lives—safety and security are no exception. Finding a balance between mitigating the risk of spread of the coronavirus without having to compromise school safety and security has been a challenge,” Crispino said.
