Project Esperanza to Help Raise Money for Hope Community Center

Project Esperanza to Help Raise Money for Hope Community Center

Zach Long, Co-Managing Editor, Junior

Project Esperanza is an initiative to help raise money to feed people at Hope Community Services’ food pantry and soup kitchen in New Rochelle. The idea is to create a community cookbook that features Pelham family meals and popular local restaurant recipes as well. This project is a great way for the Pelham community to unite but also to provide for those in need. If you don’t have a meal that you can add to the cookbook, you can help by creating pieces of artwork related to food that will be showcased in the cookbook.

The cookbook will be available for purchase when it is published. The purchase comes along with a suggested donation price list that will highlight what each amount provides for a family. The more recipes that are added to the cookbook, the greater success Project Esperanza will be. That means that Project Esperanza is relying on the Pelham community to help fund and create a cookbook that will help those in need. To add a recipe, click on the Google Form below where you can donate your recipe. The deadline for submitting your recipes is April 30.

Project Esperanza was created primarily to aid those families in need and who are struggling, but also for the Pelham community to come together amongst the ongoing pandemic. Project Esperanza is being introduced this year for the first time since it was created to aid the families in need because of the pandemic.
