The Girls Varsity Basketball Team was very eager to play this 2021-2022 Winter season after their season was cut short due to COVID last year. Led by Senior Captains Ella Miller and Caroline Garufi, and Coach Pitrulle and Assistant Coach Finegan, the aimed to have as strong of a season as possible.

“We are really excited about this year because our team is very close,” said Miller. “We have all been friends for a while and our dynamic on the court is strong. We are hoping to do as well as we can this year and have an amazing time because we’re so happy to be back!”

In the words of Coach Pitrulle, “ALL games are big.”

The team’s first home game was December 9, where they had a 51-32 loss to Harrison.

On December 20, at the Bill Green Tournament at Bronxville, Pelham fell to Ketcham 57-44, but made up for the loss on Tuesday, December 28 when they defeated Poughkeepsie 6531.
