Junior Katie Prisco has been quite a standout for the start of the 2021-22 Girls Varsity Basketball season. Prisco started playing basketball for the CYO OLPH team in the fourth grade, along with most of her current teammates. She has been playing on the varsity basketball team since the 9th grade. Alongside Katie has been her twin sister Allie who also is a major contributor to the basketball team. The duo has grown up playing basketball with each other.

“This year we have a tough schedule but we have great senior captains and a good mix of new and returning players,” said Prisco. “We hope to keep improving as the season goes on.”

In the teams first game of the season Prisco led the team with two three-pointers in the first game against Harrison and in their second game against Roy C Ketcham.

Lohud named Prisco a section one leader in the 2020-2021 season averaging 13.4 points per game.

“Katie is such a selfless teammate and always knows how to make the rest of us smile,” said Caroline Garufi, Senior captain of the Girls Basketball team. “Over the past three years Katie’s confidence on and off the court has greatly benefitted her individual and team play.” I am excited for her to continue being the amazing player she is.”
