This year’s chorus concert helped get students into the holiday spirit this December 21. The chorus sang famous Christmas songs including Carol of the Bells, Erev Sho Sha Nim, Hallelujah (Handel’s Messiah), Betelehemu (Nigerian Christmas Carol) and Lullaby (Goodnight My Angel). The Chorus’s performance overall was a phenomenal experience for not only those who attended but for the members as well.

This was fortunately a new start to in-person concerts for band, orchestra and of course chorus. Many students, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, have not been able to enjoy the satisfaction of performing in front of a large audience. Many members expressed their excitement and that they looked forward to showing off all of their hard work.  Since there were quite a few new members, the performance was highly anticipated and led to an even harder working chorus.

“It’s going to be the first concert where things are semi back to normal. As a section leader I’m excited for all the underclassmen who have never experienced this before,” Kevin O’Buck, a Section Leader said.
