The boys lacrosse season has commenced, and the Pelham team is off to a split start of 4-3, though they did wrangle a two game win streak. The team has been working together since January, doing Absolute Fitness workouts and had a Box Lacrosse season that went through the Winter. Since then, their goal has been to win the section championship. They have adopted the slogan, “Peak in May,” meaning that they should be playing their best during the playoffs. The team had their season cut short last year in the Section Semifinal, with a loss against Byram Hills. That made their win over Byram this season even more special.

Members of the team credit their success to the closeness of the team, building their chemistry through team lunches, dinners, and hangouts.

Junior Henry Moderelli said, “We’ve all become close, both upperclassmen and lowerclassmen; everyone is friends with each other.”

Some of the team’s top performers so far have been junior Chris Franchini, and seniors Nick Loria, and goalie, Will White..Junior Teddy Johnson said, “If we stay disciplined, and play physical, we should have a good shot at the section title.”
