Soderberg Swings to States

The Pelham Varsity Boys Golf season has come to an end, and one person on the team stood out from the rest. Senior Eric Soderberg competed in the New York State Varsity Golf Championships at the Mark Twain Golf Course in Elmira, New York from June 4-6.

One of the highlights of Soderberg’s season came when he shot a 37 on nine holes, only one over par. This performance was especially impressive because he shot an 8 on the first hole, showing his mental focus and determination that led him throughout the season.

Soderberg said, “We worked hard all year, and had a really successful season. We were a great group with a great coach. This year we proved that golf is a team sport.”

Although Soderberg’s season did not end with a State Championship, he was still able to end his senior season on a high note, leading the team to one of its most successful seasons yet.
