Senior Daniel Johnston closed out his lacrosse career on a high note. As a four year varsity lacrosse player and senior captain, Johnston saw success, with a section championship victory at the NYSPHSAA Section 1 Championships for the second time in school history, followed by a great effort in the class C regional finals.

The boys lacrosse team ended the season with a record of 14-8. Johnston earned honors in Section 1 Class C All Section, playing attack. This season he had 28 goals total, and 36 assists, racking up a total of 64 points.

“This season, we had our ups and downs, playing one of the hardest schedules in section 1. This team is very talented and determined and our hard work during the season helped us win the section championship and got us closer to the state tournament” Johnston said.

Johnston is heading to University of Virginia next year, and although he is not playing lacrosse, he has definitely left his impact as captain and a valuable member of the PMHS lacrosse program.
