Recipe of the Issue: Ghost Brownies

Halloween is right around the corner, which means it’s time to bake some spooky treats! This Halloween, show these adorable ghost brownies off to your friends and family. These treats will be sure to haunt everyone! 

Ghost Brownie Ingredients:

  • Your favorite brownie mix
  • Two eggs 
  • Half a cup of oil
  • 3 tablespoons of water
  • 2 cups of dark chocolate chips
  • 1 cup of white chocolate chips
  • One mixing bowl, two glass microwave bowls, 1-3 spatulas, toothpicks, and a 8 x 8 baking dish 

Instructions:

  • Mix brownie mix, water, eggs, and oil together in a large mixing bowl until well combined.
  • Pour into a well-greased baking dish and place in oven at 325 degrees until the center is cooked (around 22 minutes).
  • Let cool and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  • Separate white and dark chocolate melts into glass bowls and microwave for 30 seconds. Mix well until the chocolate is completely melted.
  • Once brownies cool, pour the melted dark chocolate over your brownies and use a spatula to cover all of the brownies.
  • Make small circles with white chocolate on top of the dark chocolate using a toothpick or fork.   
  • Pull down one area of the circle to create a ghost tail
  • Add tiny dots of dark chocolate for the eyes and mouth of the ghost. 
  • Place in the refrigerator for 10 minutes until chocolate hardens.
  • Slice and serve your delicious dessert!
