Tiana Richardson has undeniably been a stand-out on the Pelham Girls Varsity Volleyball team in her final season for the school. Richardson has been playing volleyball for 5 years and has been a member of the school volleyball team for all four years of high school. This year, as a captain and a senior, Richardson has led the team to nine wins and the sixth seed in playoffs. She broke the school record of 28 kills in a five set match with a personal record of 31 kills in a four set match set in the recent game against Rye on October 20th.

…..Outside of school, she also plays for Downstate Volleyball in Peekskill. On the cusp of finishing her last season of high school volleyball, Richardson said that she plans on continuing to play volleyball in college.

…..“It’s a bittersweet feeling leaving the team. I had a great time playing a new position this year, and the girls on the team made the season really enjoyable,” said Richardson when asked about her experience on the team and leaving PGVV. The school and team will definitely miss Richardson and her prowess on the court next year, but her record will probably stand unbroken for years to come.
