The cross country team had a strong finish to the regular season and has had a great start to the postseason. Both the girls and the boys team have finished in the top 15 of multiple competitions including the Somers Big Red Invitational, the Suffern Invitational, and the Fred Gressler Memorial Run.

The girls team stood out during the Fred Gressler Memorial Run, taking home 2nd place with a strong finish from junior Celia Parent in 3rd place. Other top performers have included sophomore Sonia Brown, junior Tatiana Irani, and senior Emma Van Praagh.

After losing several vital members including Teddy D’Angelo, Stephen Liaskos, and Ben Levine from last year, the boys team has done exceptionally well this season. They finished in 4th place at the Fred Gressler Run with a 10th place finish by senior Max Kuelwhein. Another standout performance from junior Padraig Pearlman.

“Our team has only shown improvement since the beginning of the season,” said Kuelwhein.

The team competed in the league championship on October 12, where the boys finished second and the girls finished fourth.
