Boys and girls golf is now in the swing of things kicking off the match season strong. The boys team has a record of 9-4 and the girls’ team has a record of 6-4.

The boys, led by senior captains Mark Tarazi and Eric Soderberg, prepped for the season by going on a training trip to South Carolina.

Soderberg said, “I feel great about this new season’s team. We have a bunch of guys that are capable of putting up low scores, so we can go into each match with confidence.”

The team played a match on April 19, where they shot the team’s lowest score in ten years: a 202. Sophomore Ryan Lacilla, junior Danny Gallivan, and eighth-grader Eamon Brennan had their lowest score in high school golf yet. It was at Quaker Ridge which has a very excellent layout.

Caroline Garufi, a senior on the girls golf team said, “It’s so much fun playing with new people and I feel like the team has already created a strong bond.”
