The holiday season is a terrific time of the year to bake homemade goods for friends, families, and loved ones. Based with a simple boxed or homemade chocolate cake, these simple cake pops are an amazing choice for anyone wanting to make a tasty treat.
Ingredients and Supplies:
Prepared Chocolate Cake
Chocolate Frosting
Two to three boxes of chocolate candy melts
Cake Pop Sticks
Colorful Sprinkles
Styrofoam Block

Instructions:
– Add cake to a large bowl and crumble until it resembles fine crumbs.
– Stir in enough frosting until the cake can hold a loose spherical shape.
– Use a mini-ice cream scoop to make balls of cake mixture and roll them to desired size.
– Repeat until all mixture is used up.
– Melt two to four ounces of white chocolate melts in the microwave.
– Dip the tip of the cake pop sticks into the white chocolate and stick them into the cake balls.
– Freeze for about 20 minutes.
– Melt the remaining chocolate in a large bowl.
– Remove cake balls from the freezer and dip into melted chocolate until covered.
– Let the excess chocolate drip off.
– Swirl and tap gently if needed.

  • Add sprinkles.
  • Hold the decorated cake pops in place with a Styrofoam block to finish the setting.
  • Allow chocolate to harden (place in freezer to speed up process) and serve your delicious treats!
