Home Alone 3 is seen to most of the viewers as a huge letdown because it doesn’t feel connected to the first two movies at all. The original films had Kevin McCallister, his loud but at the same time loveable family, and the unforgettable villains Harry and Marv. Those things helped give the movies their heart and humor. Home Alone 3 removes all of that and replaces it with new characters who don’t have the same fun vibes as the others. This makes the movie feel like a random film that was forced into the franchise instead of a true part of it.

Home Alone 3 removes everything and everyone that the viewers loved. It brings in a new kid named Alex, new villains, and a new story that doesn’t match the feel of the first two movies. The new characters don’t have the same fun feeling, and the movie doesn’t give off the fun holiday vibe the originals had. Because of this, it feels more like a random movie than being a true part of the Home Alone series.

Another problem about the movie is that the comedy is not great compared to the first two. In the first two movies, Kevin’s traps were funny and creative. In this movie, Alex’s traps feel too silly and very unrealistic, which makes the movie way less enjoyable and fun to watch. This makes the movie feel way more weak than the originals, and It just isn’t funny at all, and the jokes just really sucked. Sometimes when watching the movie you question yourself on what you just listened to that’s how bad it is.

Home Alone 3 had a lot of potential to be good, they just could not pull it off. In my opinion it’s a 1/10 movie and the only reason it’s a 1 and not a 0 is because Scarlett Johansson was in it, But other than that it is an awful, and grim movie that the Home Alone franchise should be ashamed of themselves for ever releasing. It has a 36% rotten tomatoes for a reason people agree that it is a terrible movie. They easily could have avoided all of the hate though they could have brought back the actor of Kevin, and the two original villains and could have been another great movie to watch during christmas time, but instead they put this garbage out for people to watch.
