Girls Basketball has begun their season with an already prominent record. On Friday, December 4th, the team played away at Edgemont, ending their first game with a striking win of 67-20. The following day, the team continued their winning streak when they played at home against Byram Hills, ending in a final score of 68-40. Led by Senior Captains Maggie Memoli and Charlotte Gomprecht and Junior Captain Emma Namba, the team is looking forward to continuing the season to get even farther as they did last year when they, after a strenuous, hardworking season, made it all the way to league finals. Senior Captain Maggie Memoli has plenty of hope and trust for her team. “We’re starting off really well. The team is working well together,” Memoli said. “If we work hard together and practice, we can definitely make it far in the playoffs.” Pelham Girls Basketball invites you to cheer them on when they play Irvington away on Friday, December 19.
